Think of the Red Cross, Save the Children, or smaller migrant networks that organize their own initiatives. Volunteers are often desperately needed: someone to help organize a collection, create a social media post, or pack boxes for a fundraiser. Your time and energy may be just as valuable as money. And the best part: you also meet other people who are committed, making you part of a community.
